Panel discussion on resume writing – report

AR-NE organized a panel discussion on Resume Writing and Networking, at the Newton Community Service Center in Newton MA, Wednesday April 13, 2011.

The basic outline of a CV/Resume was discussed, as well as key questions and answers during a job interview, and good networking skills.

The seminar was structured as a panel discussion with members of the community having management and hiring experience. At the end of the event, the attendees had the chance to discuss one-on-one with the panelists, including resume-critiques for those interested.
The feedback forms filled in by participants after the event, indicate that the event was useful and interesting. The success of meeting was ensured by the kind participation of our panelists, whom we extend our thanks:

Unfortunately, panelist Penelope Anderson had to cancel at the last minute, however she sent in several pages of bulleted advice for the benefit of those present at the meeting. Penny, your help was much appreciated by all.

The language of the event was English, and admission was free. Donations from attendees were gratefully accepted, to support this event and others. Once again, many thanks to our sponsors, whose support made this event possible.

The volunteer coordinator for this event was Lorelei Stoica, assisted by AR-NE volunteers Liliana Onita-Lenco and Alexandru Lefter.
